    Introduction to Tourist Complexes

    Korea's First Tourist Complex Bomun Tourist Complex

    Designated as Korea's first tourist complex in 1975, Bomun Tourist Complex is developed and managed by the Gyeongbuk Culture and Tourism Organization.

    About Bomun Tourist Complex

    Bomun Tourist Complex was developed as part of the Gyeongju Comprehensive Development Plan established by the government in 1971. With the goal of creating a comprehensive resort,
    it has been designed to harmonize ancient heritage and modernity by reflecting the historical characteristics of the Gyeongju region.

    The entire area has been designated as a hot spring zone and a special tourist district. It features world-class tourism infrastructure, including luxury hotels, international conference facilities,
    various leisure and recreational facilities, a cyber tourism information system, and other foundational services.

    These amenities ensure that international visitors can enjoy a comfortable stay without language or cultural barriers. As a world-class tourist destination frequented by global leaders,
    Bomun Tourist Complex is recognized not only as the centerpiece of Korea’s tourism industry but also as an international comprehensive tourism and resort complex.
    It is further enhanced by its connection to the East Coast Gampo Tourist Complex.
    The Gyeongbuk Culture and Tourism Organization is dedicated to continuously developing Bomun Tourist Complex into a hot spring-based tourist destination that exudes elegance and timeless charm. Efforts are being made to create an inland tourism and resort area with a sophisticated and traditional atmosphere that can attract visitors all year round.
